Volunteer role

High School Volunteer

San Diego high school students need 40 service hours to graduate. Spend them inside Afghan-led work — placed by your interests and strengths, including the annual Afghan Tea Party. Every hour verified.

About the role

San Diego Unified and other local school districts require students to complete 40 hours of community service to graduate. At the House of Afghanistan, those hours become time spent inside Afghan-led programs — learning a culture by helping to keep it alive.

We place every student volunteer based on their strengths, interests, and availability. We gladly verify every hour and provide documentation for school records.

Ideal for: San Diego high school students of any background who want their service hours to mean something.
