The House of Afghanistan is launching its first after-school program — and its first real experiment in early-childhood language immersion. It's a Farsi program for children ages 4 to 12, held in the Eastlake neighborhood of Chula Vista.
It looks nothing like a classroom. There are no textbooks, no worksheets, and no writing — every session unfolds entirely in Farsi and entirely through play: games, movement, music, and story. Our conviction is simple: when children are immersed in a language and invited to play inside it, curiosity comes first and fluency follows. This role exists to help us test that idea and bring it to life.
As our Farsi Tutor, you'll lead these afternoons — keeping the room warm, energetic, and fully in Farsi — and help shape the activities as we learn what works. Because this is a pilot, the structure and hours may evolve as we refine it. We're looking for someone flexible, patient, and genuinely excited to help build something new.
